Should Students Wear Uniform Research Paper

For years trying to decide whether students should be forced to wear uniform or not has been a very controversial topic. Some schools allow there students to wear whatever they want to school while others are forced to stick to a strict dress code. Every student has a different view about the topic. Some may say they love representing there school colors through their uniforms, while others may disagree. Requiring students to wear uniform eliminates a lot of negatives like bullying, the amount of time it takes a student to get ready, and overall the students attention.

In middle school I was on time for every class, because getting ready in the mornings were so easy. Due to wearing uniform I woke up in the morning and quickly got dressed because I already knew what I was wearing for the day. Of course I got tired of wearing the same two colors everyday so I would add little cute accessories, like a colorful headband or cute jewelry. Once I made it to high school no uniform was required and everything revolved around beauty. I was late to class every day, because I either did not know what I was wearing to school or I could not find the right shoes to go with my outfit. Wearing uniform saves the less fortunate children from getting bullied every day, it allows students to arrive to class on time, and it teaches students to value school instead of fashion. Sadly, in my generation kids care more about the way the look instead of education. If everyone was taught to put the same amount of effort and time into school and learning instead of their appearance students would value school more. Wearing uniform allows students to look the same, so everyone is equal. No one student will label themselves better than others, because of the material things they have.
