Why do so many people spend so much time deciding on what to wear? People should be happy that they are getting to choose what we wear every day and not take it for granted or just wear what the school thinks is appropriate for you so you just grab a pair, wear it and head off to school. Schools should make the kids wear uniforms because, they prevent bullying, show school spirit, and while some people think that school uniforms are expensive, they are wrong.
School uniforms can prevent bullying. Hundred sixty thousand students fear to go to school because of bullying.(Sandusky Register) Uniforms will actually make students attend school without the fear of bullying. People wouldn't be judged by how their clothes look. School uniforms make every student look the same, leaving no judgment. Students that do not wear trendy or stylish clothes do not feel left out. (Summit Academy.) Uniforms not only limit the amount of bullying but they also show school spirit.

However, an average family spends $235 for regular school clothes per child.(Gale) On the other hand, a uniform costs $150 (Gale). There would also be additional charges, such as shoes, school supplies etc. additional charges plus clothes, families with regular clothes will tend to spend more on a school year. $235 are for clothes that have the latest trend (Summit Academy) within a few months the kids would not want to wear them making parents spend more throughout the school year. Meanwhile, kids that wear uniforms can reuse them the following year. Suppose the uniform is worn out they could by a new one, but still not spend as much money on new trendy clothes. Therefore, this idea does not work because families that buy regular clothes tend to spend more money on back to school, and the family would spend even more money just to stay up with the
