Essay on High Self Confidence Self confidence is how I feel about myself. It also can be described as that it is my general judgment of myself or how much I like myself. The feelings sound good to me when I put myself in challenging tasks. I have high self-confidence because my mind, including all its thoughts and ideas; my eyes, including the images of all they behold; my feelings, whatever they may be: anger, joy, frustration, love disappointment, excitement my voice, loud or soft, and all my actions, whether they be to others or to myself; my mouth, and all the words that come out of it: polite, sweet or rough, correct or incorrect; do not match to anyone here. In the entire world, there are many people who are good and bad in their self confidence, there is no one else exactly like me. There are persons who have some parts like me, but no one adds up exactly like me. Therefore, everything that comes out of me is authentically it is God gifted only to me. Face your fears & don’t fear failure I always tried to face my failure in a way that was perfect. In the Webster's online dictionary, self-confidence is defined as confidence in oneself and in one's powers and abilities. A famous quote by Jim Loehr says, "With confidence, you can reach truly amazing heights; Without confidence, even the simplest accomplishments are beyond your grasp." Confidence in yourself does not come without effort. One must believe in themselves, and not let someone change their beliefs. In the novel Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, Jane shows self-confidence throughout the novel, by possessing a sense of self-worth, dignity, and a trust in God.
Self-esteem has to do with the value you place on yourself and your abilities regardless of what anyone thinks or says. According to Smith and Mackie in 2007, Self-Esteem was defined as follows: “The self-concept is what we think about the self; self-esteem, is the positive or negative evaluations of the self, as in how we feel about it.”
I learned that I thought, that I had more Self-awareness (chapter two) then I actually do. I always thought that my self-awareness was good until I realized what it really was. Self- awareness makes you ask the question who am I? allowing you to view yourself as a unique person and to reflect on your thoughts, feelings and behaviors. I realized that I had a lot of learning to do. For example; when I was in high school, I thought that the reason I didn't do well was because of the hard ships that I was going through but in reality it was because I wasn't aware that my ability to work hard and study was slacking. I had to learn how to work ahead and plan a schedule of some sort in order to stay organized. I learned that my Self-esteem (chapter two) which is the overall values, good or bad, that we assign for ourselves. is very low. This surprises many people, I have always been told that I am a good optimistic person, but unfortunately all I saw was my flaws and problems making me have very little self-esteem. However, through this year and my classes I gained two things that improved my self-esteem very much. Those two things include leadership and confidence, for example; I am the student leader and advisor for my alternative high school, I gave a speech to our congressmen and the press to share information about my alternative high school and I help students achieve small things like
I will never give up. I will never allow failure to be an option. I will set goals and I will achieve them. We are obstacles are set in front of us daily. Daily obstacles can range from waking up in the morning when we are overworked to losing a limb or a love done. However, when the outcome is not in my favor I will utilize the situation to find my weaknesses and build a better me for the next battle.
The second step of Walker and Avant’s process requires one to identify the purpose of the analysis (McEwen & Wills, 2014, p.58). As previously mentioned, Perry (2011) stated “the purpose of the analysis is to provide clarity regarding the meaning of the concept of self-confidence…” (p. 223). She also mentioned the purpose of the concept analysis was to aid in understanding the attributes, antecedents, and consequences related to the concept of self-confidence (Perry, 2011, p.223), all of which will be discussed later in the
Moreover, self-confidence is something that cannot be taught. It is up to the individual to decide how much belief that they possess inside of themselves. Further, the more people believe in success and in the achievements that they have accomplished in the past, the more they can firmly embrace new challenges in the future. In contrast, “confidence” is opposite to some of people’s negative personalities such as cowardness, timidity, and it can lead them to be afraid to fail, or do not dare to pursue their dreams. Throughout life, “confidence” can be expressed from the smallest action as a student presenting or contributing ideas to the class lessons, or a scientist announcing his inventions, or even a writer publishing his books. The best way to gain self-confidence is to look deep inside of ourselves and believe that we have the ability to overcome all obstacles and challenges we are faced with on a daily bases because our self-esteem is one of the few things that we have control over. Thus, practicing to be more confident is a crucial task people should do every
The survey, conducted for this project started off by asking the participants for demographic information like age and role on the team. The first actual question on self-confidence asked who the most confident player on the team was. While one player received the most votes with four out of 19, two players tied for second place with three votes. Interestingly, the player leading the poll is not the best player on the team, if you look into team statistics. The questionnaire proceeded by asking the participants what it was, that made the person they listed confident. For this question, the
Now in life there are many things you do on your own and it is hard because you might not have the best confidence. This situation happens a lot to me because I am not the best with self-confidence, but I have always had confidence others. In life you will always have those friends that you will trust and can tell them anything. For example, who you do not like; who you have a crush on; what your past way like; and what you want your future, adult life, to be like. Confidence is divided in to two sections, mental and physical. Physical confidence is shown when you are trying to run a 4:50 pace for the one mile. You have to be confident that your body is stronger than it really is. This is where the mental confidence comes in to help support your physical confidence. Your brain needs to tell your body that it has more than it does. My confidence to that is strong, but when it comes to talking to people my confidence gets pushed away. My mental confidence is telling my body that you do not know...

In the last lesson, we looked at how negative experiences in your past can affect your self-concept. Self-esteem isn’t quite the same as your self-concept, but they are related.
Self-confidence requires trust, and trust requires you to believe. Self-confidence is a weird thing. Some people have too much, while others have too little, yet some people only have confidence in some things and not in other things. Some of the most common things that people are or are not confident in is their looks, their skills, or their knowledge. Confidence is important, it controls our effort level and seeing confident people means seeing happy people working hard. Self-confidence is the most important emotion in our lives, and when we start to realize that, then we can use it for accomplishing anything we want.
Self-esteem is critical evaluation of ones self, resulting in negative or positive thoughts about oneself (Decker, 2010; Kaya & Saçkes, 2004). The way an individual see’s themselves is imprortant in regards to how they behave and the daily decisions they make (Hamarta, 2004). With regards to adolelescents, self esteem is of particular importance, influencing every day decisions that can have a life long impact (Person & Year, 2007). Self esteem can be defined on the basis of the way one sees themselves. In this view of self esteem, there must be a reference point with which the individual compares themelves to although the view of themselves may be positive or negative with respect to that particular reference ppoint. In positive self-esteem the individual is satisified with the way he or she is and thus views themselves favorably with respect to that particular reference point. In contrast, in negative self-esteem, the individual fails to meet this ideal point of reference of how they should be externally (Decker, 2010).
