Segregation is known to be a strict, lifetime rule. It takes away a person’s ability to live life to the fullest, you take away their lifelong dream that comes with the journey. It isolates people to work with one another, whether it is in school or shops, segregation restricts society and the lives of different skin-colored people to work as a team. However, it seems that in the most desperate times of need, we have pushed past the fact that white men will be working together with a people of different skin colors. For the past six years, although it took many convincing and many hardships, black men have fought with us side-by-side during the war. And in the end, we won. The role African American’s play in the past that led to today’s life is undeniable. But, because of our views on different skin colors, we are limiting our chances of winning and experiences at so many other things in the future. …show more content…

The Brooklyn Dodgers are an all white team, and it is thought to stay that way. However, what would happen if it were mixed? What would happen if a black man joined? Fans would be starting riots, and petitions, and start getting violent. But, black men and white men aren’t all that different. We say that they would hold us white men back from glory, but it is only us holding ourselves back. We say that black men don’t have the intellect, the strategic qualities, and the quick focus needed for sports, especially baseball. Every sport may have different rules, but each has the same qualities needed. And baseball is no exception. Black men can should and can join in with a white sport, but that would be crossing the “color line”. And the first person to cross that line would be subjected to violence and many threats. But, one man was willing to face it
