Socially Responsible and Irresponsible Companies One company I researched was Sears Holding Corporation. Sears is a retail store that sells all sorts of products for your home like washers, dryers, refrigerators, etc. Sears has been lacking in the customer service department. Sears has workers that look like they really don’t want to be there or help anyone out. I read that they were ranked 3rd worst retailer. Sears got a one star ranking on the Customer Affairs website. It says workers don’t really like the current CEO. Sears has many complaints of customers not getting treated well by employees. I feel like Sears could have trained new employees to have patience and respect all customers that come in asking for help. They need to understand that their job in customer service is that they need to help customers. They can teach them how to control the patience and tempers because there were many reports about workers being extremely rude to the customers. Sears could pass out surveys to the customers to receive different feedback from everyone. Based on the results, they could help themselves by fixing the problem whether it be employees or something else. The second irresponsible company I did research on was Wells Fargo. If they wanted to issue out credit cards so bad, they could have just made an advertising plan to suggest customers into getting credit cards with Wells Fargo. The employee's at Wells Fargo were the one making fake accounts and fake emails for online banking. More and more issues keep coming up with this company, for example employs that steal from people and making fake accounts. Something they could do better is do better background checks on their employees.
