There's the wail of sirens behind me, and my engine is really turning now. I'm a car after all, and nothing get's me going like a little bit of fun. I sweep left at 90 mph, hitting my breaks, bracing for the g's as the flashing lights of the gumballers come for me. My sensors acknowledge the burning rubber. I weave out of the skid, a burst of fuel from my injectors, then break, then fuel and when I'm stable, when those lights are just coming up behind me- That's when I put the hammer down hard and become a shooting star. Once you live and love a piece of tech, a drug, a lifestyle, when you really love it, like I do, when you're proud to say I'm addicted, well, there's just no other way to live. All tech is viewed as a means to improve your life, make it happier and easier. Don't I seem happy to you? And if I have problems in my day to day life, there's nothing a little drive can't fix. You can never run away from your stupid little bring down problems the way you can when you have a ten cylinder hyper carbon engine and wheels rated for at least three hundred mph.
