Although advertising can be subliminally misleading information, the claim in this quote that it deprives people of their own will to choose is false as consumers make a conscious decision when they decide to buy a product, always having the option to make informed decisions as against to giving the illusion that the buyers see in ads and commercials. This thesis statement is in a counter argument structure it is effective as it makes a balanced argument that makes a agreement and then a disagreement to demonstrate that the writer has explored both sides of the argument. 5. Plagiarism is stealing information for other sources in the exact same words, it is intellectual theft. In order to properly address a student who decide to turn in plagiarized assignment, a teacher must require that the student re does the assignment giving him or her a second chance. And research the consequences of plagiarism outside the academic community so that him or her may correct themselves and properly use other people's words as reference rather than copying. This thesis statement is a closed structure because it clearly describes and outlines how a teacher should respond to a student who has plagiarized while describing the long terms advantages this response would have for the students
