I am going to give you my thoughts on safe driving, especially in bad weather and increased traffic. Sometimes it can be very scary with all the different things going on. All you have to remember on the roads is watch your speed, keep your distance, and watch your surroundings. When you do these three things you can most likely avoid getting in an accident. I am going to compare the difference in driving in icy weather and hot summer days. I hope with these pointers you will become a better driver in bad weather conditions.
The best advice I can give you when it comes to driving in icy weather is try not to drive at all. Only drive if you really have to and there is no other option. If you have to drive in these conditions make sure your car is ready and everything is checked. Always check your fluids and oil on your vehicle. Make sure all your tires are set at the right pressure. Make sure you know how to drive on icy roads and drive slow. You should always look up your current road conditions. By doing this you will know the weather before you get out there. Slowing down is the most important thing you can do when driving on icy roads. If you drive too fast on a very slippery road that can cause people to get hurt. Make sure you look out for black ice on the road. This is the most dangerous thing that is out there on very cold winter days. Always drive 10 mph or less on black ice.
