The book Alex Rider Russian roulette was an interesting book. In the first chapter it explains a little village called Estrov and how people live in Estrov. The main character is called Yasha Gregorovich. The first chapter talks about his friends and how he lives. In school he is known as the best student he gets 5 stars every day.
His best friend is Leo Tretyakov. He likes to hang out with Leo and do there home work together. Yasha’s parents work at a fertilizer plant.
Later on once Yasha was reading his book crime and punishment he heard an explosion. He looked out his window but nothing changed so he went back to his book. He then heard another explosion followed by a siren. He then dropped his book and raced out side. He asked his neighbor what happened he said something happened at the plant. The out from the plant a car filled with bullet holes drove up to Yasha. His mom was at the wheel. His mom stepped out of the car and helped his dad out as well. His dad was bleeding. The dad asked Yasha to go get something from the kitchen a small black box. Yasha got it and handed it to his dad. Inside there was a syringe his dad pulled out a container filled with a liquid and put it in the syringe. His dad injected Yasha with it. He said it was an antidote. Yasha asked for what for, his dad responded with “We were not just making fertilizer in there. Pack all your stuff needed and leave this village, never say the name Estrov again. Go to Moscow we have a friend there who can help you with it.” So Yasha packed his stuff and left estrov. But on the way out he got his friend Leo to come with him. ...en he continued to walk to the Mansion where he was a servant. He wandered around until He found Sharkovsky room. Sharkovsky was still alive bit in a wheel chair. Yassen Went into the room and hid behind a desk, because he heard someone coming. It was Sharkovsky. Yassen got up and took Sharkovsky by surprise. The started to discus things that happened in the past, then Yassen took his gun and put 5 of 6 bullets in it. He said, “We will play the game you made me play. But with my rules, totally different from what you made me play when I was a kid”. Yassen went first. The gun clicked nothing happened. Then Yassen pointed the gun at Sharkovsky and shoot him in between the eyes. Then Yassen heard a noise It was Sharkovsky’s son Ivan. Ivan came in the room; Yassen shot him once in the head and twice in the heart.

Both “Full Circle” and “The Most Dangerous Game” have many differences with how the murder is presented in the story, but both also have many similarities. In the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” the murder was done for fun and sport, General Zaroff killed his victims to fulfill a hunting sensation. But in the short story “Full Circle”, the murder was done out of jealousy, because the Terry was rejected. Throughout my paper I hope to show the similarities and differences of the murder cases within the two stories.
A hit was put out on Taylor and Zavala by leaders of the Mexican drug cartel because they were becoming a nuisance. This hit was carried out by the same Latino gang members who had previously done a drive-by shooting of a rival gang. The officers were enticed towards their imminent deaths with a car chase which was set up by the Latino gang members. This chase led them towards an apartment complex which was rigged with many gang members and artillery to ensure that neither Taylor nor Zavala would survive. The two were ambushed but decided that gunning their way out was their best option. When the officers made it to an alley they were met by another Latino gang member who fired at Taylor and Zavala, hitting Taylor once in the chest before being shot and killed by Zavala. At the night, he hastily went to Geneva, for fear that the monster to beat him. He found his father alive, but the old man was so weak from blame him misery that soon died at the hands of Victor. His despair was so great that Victor felt crazy and for a few months locked in a single room. Coming out of the hospital, he went to a local judge and told the whole truth about the monster, but the judge did not believe Victor, thinking that he was still ill.
...s a gloomy place harboring mystery and misery. The main character, Evgeny, finds himself in the midst of a great flood. He was contemplating his future, his life with a woman named Parasha, when this flood interrupts his life. When it ceases, Evgeny makes his way through St. Petersburg finding vast amounts of destruction. Parasha’s home nowhere to be found, and people beginning to try and put the pieces back together.
Main Characters: Ivan Ilyich (protagonist), Gerasim (Ivan’s peasant servant – a young healthy man), Peter Ivanovich (Ivan’s closest friend and colleague – attends his funeral), Praskovya Fëdorovna (Ivan’s terribly selfish wife – she is more upset about a loss of income, than losing her spouse)
A man carrying two revolvers and two 9mm semi-automatic handguns calmly strode into the Dunblane Primary School. Two people quickly spotted the firearms and tried to tackle the man; he shot them and left them wounded as he continued his journey down the hall of the school. Finally, the man reached his destination: the gym, where a class a kindergartners were having P.E. In the gym, he pulled out the guns and started picking off the five-year-olds one by one. The room was splattered with blood as young children broke like porcelain dolls under the power of the gun. The blood continued to flow, but the intruder did not stop; he took careful aim to make sure he didn't miss. The final insult came when he shot the teacher who was shielding kids with her body. Once he killed her, he killed the kids she was protecting. When he finished in the gym , he turned around walked out, shot at a class as he walked down the hall and walked out into the courtyard. In the courtyard, the killer ended the ordeal by taking his own life (Pederson).
The novel: A Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich (written by Alexander Solzhenitzyn), tells the story of a Russian soldier’s life in a Siberian labor camp around the time of World War II. The protagonist in the story, Ivan, better known as “Shukhov”, is wrongly accused of committing treason and is sentenced to full 10 years of imprisonment in the camp. Throughout the story, the author makes vivid references to help the reader identify with the setting, climate, and overall feeling of what Ivan must deal with on a day-to-day basis. This helps the reader to better understand the points and the reality of what it was like living in one of these camps.
The story starts off with a visit from Art to his father’s house in New York. He asks his father to tell him his life story so he can write a book. From here it cuts to Vladek’s memories and we start to learn and unravel some of his story. Vladek begins the story where he is a young man in Sosnowiec, Poland. He talks about a girl he was dating, but then began to see a girl, Anja, who eventually becomes his wife and Art’s mother. Anja is an intelligent young woman from a well off family, who helps Valdek start up his own textile factory. Anja and Valdek eventually get married and welcome a son, named Richiue into the world. After giving birth to her first son, Anja begins to suffer from post -partum depression and needs to be hospitalized. Valdek goes with his wife to Czechoslovakia, where she will receive the medical treatment she needs. Though he wanted to call the dog to him, he refrained because he would not want to explain how he knew the canine to the madam. After reading the newspaper he saw that there was a show going on that night, he went because he knew Anna loved the theater. Once he got there he searched for his beloved Anna and finally found her, but she was with her floosy husband. He watched her down and waited for the right moment to approach her. So he did just that once her husband left, after greeting her her face turned pale and was in shock because she could not believe Dmitri was in front of her in this theater. Both men fail to understand the possible ways their actions could be construed until time runs out, resulting in the Czechoslovakian man murdered and Meursault in prison, and later, executed. Meursault’s story, aptly titled The Stranger, embodies the final fate of Meursault and the Czechoslovakian man. When the Czechoslovakian man returns to his small village, he returns as a stranger to all, even to his mother and sister. These two men foiled each other, yet they possessed strikingly similar qualities. The Czechoslovakian man lived out his dream, and his life ended due to the misdemeanor of trickery, while Meursault lived a dull, emotionless life, and his life ended due to the felony of murder.

Integrity and honesty can be defined as the quality or state of being unimpaired or of being honest, refraining from lying, cheating, or stealing; being truthful, trustworthy, and upright. Ivan¡¯s honesty and integrity have been illustrated in many events that assure his own personal morals to live a life worthy of his own actions. He exemplifies these honorable morals in his actions throughout the entire day, which consisted of pitiful meals and harsh working conditions. He demonstrated his strict morality while eating dinner in the mess hall. ¡°Yet, this old man is unlike all the other zeks. He sits upright and brings his spoon up to his lips.
