Although the history of soccer in Brazil is not as long as the Chinese, or some European countries; it is definitely of the most interesting and richest. Brazil had a different approach to soccer. The love and fanaticism is indescribable. The country managed to develop some of the most wonderful and best soccer players the world has ever seen. All these elements contributed to a beautiful and amazing Brazilian soccer history. Many players that came out of Brazil were some of the best players that ever lived. Edson Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pelé is known to be the greatest soccer player of all time. Many came after him and one that really caught people’s attention was Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, also known as Ronaldinho Gaucho. Ronaldinho has mesmerized fans around the world with his incredible soccer skills. The way he can move his feet with the ball just keeps you in awe.
At an early age, Ronaldinho was surrounded by soccer. Ronald De Assis Moreira was born on March 21st, 1980 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He was born into a family of football addicts. His father, Joao da Silva Moreira, played for an amateur club and also worked as a car park attendant at Gremio Football Club. His mother, Miguelina, worked as a salesperson but switched careers into nursing after pursuing further studies. His older brother also was talented in soccer but couldn’t pursue a career due to knee injury. Now he is Ronaldinho’s manager. Ronaldinho started playing soccer at an early age. He started playing organized youth soccer when he was 7. That was when he first got his nickname “Ronaldinho”.

In the first year, he didn’t win anything but people fell in love with him. Then the trophies started coming and he made all those people happy. Barça should always be grateful for everything he did”.
Ronaldinho won the hearts of many fans across the world. His style of play was rare and everyone seemed to love it. The impact that Ronaldinho had on soccer is like no other. At a young age he accomplished so many achievements, both individually and with a team. The game of soccer wouldn’t be the same without him. He created my passion for the game and probably many other fans just like me. Salute to one of the greatest. Ronaldinho Gaucho.
