Over the past century Presidents have been required to make different decisions for our country. But most of those decisions have gone through some sort of legislature, such as Congress or the Senate. Ronald Reagan’s decision to bomb Libya was all his own and was made with just the approval from the President. As Ronald Reagan said “There are no easy answers, but there are simple answers. We must have the courage to do what we know is morally right.” Reagan had the courage to make a huge decision on his own because he knew it would be the right decision for his country. ''Today we have done what we had to do. If necessary we shall do it again.'' (Ronald Reagan) every President should do what they think is necessary to protect the people and to protect the country itself and the decision to bomb Libya was an important decision to stop Muammar el-Qaddafi,

...ssets between the United States and Libya. On April 14th the United States decided to retaliate in a big way with air strikes against Tripoli and Benghazi. The attacks were led by navy attack jets based in the Mediterranean and the bombers were from bases in England. The targets were chosen based on their connections with terrorist activities. Even before the raid was over Reagan went on national television to discuss the air

As life goes on the United States will have more and more Presidents who will make unilateral decisions. Meaning that they will make decisions based on what they feel is right for our nation. Without these decisions our country may have gotten involved in warfare that could have been avoided.

In his first inaugural address, he emphasized the important to conserving the power of an us control our own destinies. He also says that government is not a solution to the problem that they are the problem. During his term, he decreases the size of federal government and supported policies and reforms that he believed empowered individuals. Reagan also worked to reduce federal spending on home programs, due to his concerns about the constitutionality of those programs. He called for finances cuts, mostly from great Society programs. while not touching Medicare and Social security, Reagan authorized cuts in federal schooling programs, food stamp programs, workplace programs, and other non-military domestic programs. Believing the U.S. had left out the military after the Vietnam war, and because the cold battle continued, Reagan asked for increased funds to reinforce the military. The decrease in taxes and growth in army spending ended in the biggest budget deficits in the united states’ records to that time. The deficits persisted each year, however Reagan vowed to veto any tax increases Congress

One of the most important aspects of Reagan’s time in office was his domestic policy. He knew to have a successful presidency and create a strong, the people of the United States needed to be cared for. His first goal was to turn the economy around from the stagflation it encounter in the Carter era. Stagflation is very similar to inflation. The main difference is that inflation is the result of a quick economic growth while causes the value of money to decrease with now economic growth. To accomplish the turn around, Reagan introduce his economic policy which became known as Reaganomics. Reaganomics was based in supply side economics. Contextual analysis is made up of three basic components; intended audience, setting and most importantly purpose. Authors often times consider and work each contextual piece into the construction of their given argument. An argument is not powerful if audience preference is not a main concern, if the setting isn’t taken into consideration, or if the purpose is not relevant to the current situation. On January 28th, 1986 the shuttle challenger exploded 73 seconds into its take off. President Ronald Reagan wrote a critical speech to address the tragedy that had struck our nation that day. It is highly evident in his address that kept audience, setting, and purpose in mind. He comforts a worried public using calm tone and simple yet effective diction to convince the American nation that it’s necessary to go on and continue the space program and ultimately the scientific revolution.
This sparked the Afghanistan and Iraq war. Many people believe that a large amount of money and time was wasted in fruitless wars. Bush was scrutinized and raked over the coals for the resulting decisions. There is a lot of debate about the necessity to attack the Taliban for only harboring al-Qaeda without the knowledge of their involvement. Billions of dollars and too much time was spent on the resulting wars. Even after all the money and time wasted, the man that claimed to have coordinated the attack was not “brought to justice” until ten years after the attacks. How much money and manpower was wasted and how much was fruitful, so many questions that demand answers where none will be
Perhaps one of the most well-known American presidents of the 20th century, Ronald Reagan is considered to be one of the most accomplished presidents of the era. His decisions regarding economic, domestic, and foreign policies had lasting impacts on not only the local scale but also on the international scale. His staunch code was particularly apparent in foreign policy, especially in his unwavering dedication to the eradication of Communism.
...ved to American soil, the use of the atomic bombs are justified. There probably is not a leader who would not go to any length to protect his or her country. Truman did what he believed he had to make his country move on and to end World War II.
Ronald Reagan was a man of many talents from sports, to acting, and finally politics. Reagan sought “peace through strength”; meaning that in order for us to have peace he would need the strength or power to provide us with just that. Having two terms in office it seems like Reagan was satisfied with most of what he could change in the U.S. He caused many differences throughout the nation; he made an impact. Ronald Reagan was the 40th president of the United States of America; holding his seat from 1981 to 1989. Implementing Reaganomics which was basically meant to cut taxes which in turn generates more revenue. Reagan wanted “the American people to believe in themselves again” that was one of his main goals and some would say that he succeeded
Even when President Reagan, didn’t make wise decisions, he took full blame for them, which made the American population trust him and gain more popularity. With his many major accomplishments in helping the American people, and putting them first, he really helped in his favor. Reagan has built up the US military to what it is now because he believed that we needed to “restore America's ability to defend itself and fulfill its responsibilities as a trustee of freedom and peace in the world” (Wild Thing, January 21, 2006). President Reagan is a man that has a heart and soul with America, and will fight for our freedoms and rights for as long as his life.
Ronald Reagan was born on the 6th of February, in the year of 1911. His birthplace was Tampico Illinois, where his mother, Nelle Wilson Reagan, and his father, John Edward Reagan, had raised him. His father who everyone called “Jack” was a shoe salesman with many struggles with his job. These struggles caused Ronald to grow in a family that was not economically viable for many things. To save a little money his mother taught him how to read when he was five years of age. Afterwards he still went to be educated at his local public schools. The no-fly zone and naval blockade of Libya pressured Gaddafi to offer free elections in a cease-fire agreement, which was rejected by NATO and the NTC, and followed by NATO bombarding Tripoli (Carey). While the intervention was morally justified, it’s not clear that the humanitarian intervention was completely successful, as Libya is currently in another civil war (“National Post View”). The efforts of NATO and the United Nations helped bring peace to Libya for two years before another civil war broke out, so perhaps the intervention was partially successful. In the end, what needs to be considered in any intervention is whether or not there is a plan for how to change the country in the right direction, as well as making sure that foreign powers is not the only component holding the country
