In this play death is a horrible thing, especially when there are people to blame for these deaths. Romeo and Juliet is a tragic love story that ends in two star crossed lovers taking their lives for each other. Their forbidden love was the cause of their death. There were also people who caused the tragic event but it finally ended their family feuds. Once everyone found out about their deaths the Prince was disappointed because the people who caused these deaths were their families feud. In the play, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, there are three characters to blame the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, they are Friar Lawrence, Tybalt, and Capulet. After Tybalt’s death the Capulets were very upset. Capulet and Lady Capulet thought Juliet was crying for days over Tybalt but it was Romeo who she was crying for. Once they find out that she is really upset, Capulet gets Paris to marry Juliet. When they make this plan Lady Capulet goes to tell Juliet and she freaks out and says she is not marrying him. Capulet goes to the room to talk to Juliet and says, “Hang thee, young baggage! Disobedient wretch!/I tell thee what: get thee to church o’ Thursday,/ or never after look me in the face./ Speak not. Reply not. Do not answer me (3.5.160-163). Capulet was furious with Juliet because he believed that Paris was the man of every girl’s dreams. The Capulets want Juliet to marry him because he came from a noble family and he is good looking but, Juliet is already married and loves Romeo. When Juliet says her final answer Capulet tells her, “But, and you will not wed, I will pardon you!/Graze where you will, you shall not house with me./Look to’t, think o not; I do not use to jest” (3.5.187-189). When Capulet is yelling at Juliet he threatens her to be out on her own and have nothing to do with her family anymore.     Friar Lawrence takes the cake when talking about who is to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet. The Friar's action of marrying Romeo and Juliet played a vital role in the outcome.
