The story of Romeo and Juliet is one that almost everyone is familiar with. Not even having read the book yet, you know immediately that it will end in tragedy. It’s a remarkable tale about two young people in love who’s tragic ends result from fate. William Shakespeare describes the battle of love and hate and spreads a universal message—in which love is always victorious. Described as one of the greatest love stories of all time, Romeo and Juliet is also a very complicated one. There has been bad blood between the Montague and Capulet families for as long as their generations have lived. The hostility between the two families was so destructive that no human being and no God had the power to diminish it. The story tells us of a young Montague boy, Romeo, and a young Capulet girl, Juliet, who fall madly in love with each other at first sight. Their love for one another is so powerful and irresistible that it brings the feud between the families to an end.
