“O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?” During the balcony scene in the Romeo and Juliet 1960’s movie, Juliet is lamenting Romeo’s name, alluding to the feud between their two families. I really enjoyed the 1960’s version of Romeo and Juliet. The other two versions of the play were very inaccurate in many ways. Some of the reason of why the other movies were inaccurate was because of the actors ages, and their costumes. The balcony scene of Romeo and Juliet that was portrayed the best was the 1906’s version because of the chemistry between the characters, actor believability, and their line delivery. In the 1960’s version of the movie the chemistry between Romeo and Juliet was remarkable! Their body language towards each other portrayed their undying love for eachother. Romeo wanted to hear Juliet talk forever and be with her forever. Juliet was a little confused as to what she was going to do because of how Romeo was a Montague, and she really wanted Romeo to change his name. Romeo was willing to change his name because of her. The one that i liked the most was the 1960’s version by far. The characters emotion was remarkable towards each other, their costumes were on point, their line delivery was so graceful and charming, their ages were on point, and I really believed that they were in love. All three plays had something that i liked and disliked, but the 1960’s version was by far the most accurate display of Romeo and Juliet. The balcony scene of Romeo and Juliet that was portrayed the best was the 1960’s version because of the chemistry between the characters, actor believability, and their line delivery. I definitely want to continue watching the 1960’s version of Romeo and Juliet and I can’t wait to finish
