The whole action packed tale of Romeo and Juliet contains fast paced action and a lot of things happen, but what most people forget is that all of this happened in a five day span. This perfectly demonstrates Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet’s theme that young people tend to be passionate and impulsive, qualities which are both positive and negative. This book contains lots of haste throughout its entirety. There are some good things that come out of this haste. The majority of things that come out of this however are negative.
Romeo and Juliet contains a lot of haste and spontaneous decisions made by young people. Romeo is willing to profess his love after only meeting Juliet hours before saying, “lady by your blessed moon I vow.”(2:2:112). …show more content…

One example of good things coming out of it is just the love that was found between Romeo and Juliet. Another positive is that Romeo is no longer obsessed and depressed about Rosaline, “With Rosaline, my ghostly father? No. I have forgot that name and that name’s woe.”(2:3:49). This is good because Romeo was horrible depressed and he was able to move on. The best thing that came out of this was arguably their deaths. Yes they did cause short term harm and sadness for the families, it did, however, end the fued, calming the whole city, “A glooming peace this morning with it brings.” (5:3:216). Romeo was also able to be able to get over Rosaline quickly because of him quickly changing. These are some of the good things that came out of this childish hate. This haste can also lead to negative things. Romeo ended up being exiled by the prince after acting on impulse and killing Tybalt even saying, ¨And let fire eyed fury be my conduct now.¨(page 123). Romeo and Juliet both kill themselves based on impulsive decision without thinking about the situation rationally. Romeo and Juliet also agreed to marry after only knowing each other for only a few hours which led to the untimely deaths and
