Cultural Influences Behind Morality Morality. Is it the same for you and me? Is it the same across the world as it is here? Does culture affect morality? Specifically looking at the play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, you find many examples of exactly this. Right off the bat when you open the book to Act I, Scene I, you find an instance where culture has indeed had an impact on the ideas of law enforcement. In this scene, a dispute breaks out in Verona. Swords are drawn and a fight starts. The act that resulted from this incident was just a warning to issued to everyone involved.
