The Rising Cost Of a College Education College is compiled of many stressed related symptoms, such as: irritability, unhappiness, and constant worrying. This fearful time in a person’s life accumulates a new beginning. Britain’s Prime Minister Gordon Brown once said, “No one should be held back from realising their potential by fears that they will not be able to afford to go to university or that they will graduate with unmanageable levels of debt.” The toll of college varies in a particularly high manner; therefore, creating a rather difficult advantage of graduating from said college. To everyone’s understanding, colleges are the ones that strive for new students to attend their facility, so why must they charge such outrageous prices?

College and Universities do not see the idea of cutting down the price as a requirement because all students are eligible for student loans. Because taking out a student loan seems logical at the time, more students do it without knowing how much debt they will be in after they graduate, making the price of college even greater. The primary reason the cost of education has increased is supply and demand. As college becomes more of a necessity to younger people and their families, the colleges can raise the cost knowing they will have students applying for admission either way. Upon enduring countless measurements to be accepted into a college of their choice, over half the students who are approved drop out each year because of student loans. If student loans were nonexistent, tuition would be lowered for the sake of colleges being able to convey their product to additional people. Even after completing college, many degrees do not guarantee a well-paying job. Countless amounts of students are limited to the quantity of classes they can take as a result of the sum of money it costs for the supplies of each class, such as books and other instruments needed.
