Introduction:
Richard Chase is known as the “The Vampire of Sacramento” (Richard Chase). He killed six people in California over a time period of one month. His trademark was drinking his victims blood and eating their insides out. His parents and doctors are partly to blame for not keeping him in special care but letting him go off on his own after he got blood poisoning from drinking a rabbit's blood. They way he would decide on who to kill was if their door was unlocked. After his sixth murder he was convicted and charged for murder. He was given the death penalty but killed himself before that happened.

Bibography:
Richard Chase was born on May 23, 1950 in Santa Clara County, California. He has a sister that was four years younger and his father had strict discipline. Chase was ten when he started killing cats and other animals. He showed the three known warning signs of children who grow to become serial killers - bed-wetting beyond the normal age, cruelty to animals and setting fires. As a teenager, he drank and smoked dope, getting into trouble several times. He became a drug user and dealer. He managed to maintain a small social life. He dated several girls but they never lasted long. After turning 18, Chase moved out from his parent's home and in with roommates. His roommates were bothered by his heavy drug use and asked him to leave. He refused to move out so his roommates left him and he was forced to move back in with his mother. It didn’t last long because he thought she was trying to poison him. He moved into an apartment that was paid by his father. His parents were going through a divorce at this time. ...blood he stabbed her at least a half a dozen times in various place on her body. Chase then went to get David's body where he drank his blood and removed his brain, which he then ate. A six-year-old girl knocked on the door and he fled the residence stealing Dan’s car. She alerted the neighbor who then called the police. When entering the police discovered that Chase had left perfect handprints and perfect imprints of the soles of his shoes in Evelyn's blood. Chase had taken David's body home with him, where he sliced it opened and consumed several internal organs. (Richard Trenton CHASE).
