An event I attended that could be considered theatre, according to Woodruff's definition, was my nephew's baptism. In this event, there were watchers, the watched, props, a setting and many other forms of non-art theater. Woodruff defines theatre as the art of making human action worth watching. The baptism took place in a Catholic church. There were many children getting baptized in one big ceremony. When we arrived we were seated in a designated area with the rest of our family. My family and the other families were the watchers. In alphabetical order, each child, their parents, and Godparents were called to the altar one family at a time. These people would be considered the watched. The script would be the part in which the actual baptism
