Number 10 Lionel Messi is considered one of the greatest soccer players of all time. He has collection of trophies, outstanding statistics, and is loved throughout the whole world. Even though he has always been smallest on the soccer field that never made him stop trying to become one of the greats in the soccer history. Messi grew up in two countries, began his soccer career in Spain and was the youngest player to play in the Spanish league, helped his team to win trophies and gained some personal trophies, also played for his home country's international team and he had some downfalls in his career, but despite that he gives to a charity and is wanting to make a difference the world with soccer and life. He loves his country and for him to say that he is retiring from Argentinian team shocked everyone around the world. It was emotional time and as he returned to Argentina he avoided the many fans that were there at the airport waiting for their national team to return from the United States. The fans were also very emotional and were wearing the Argentinian jersey of the national team with the name Messi on it. The fans waited in the rain for their teams’ arrival and followed the bus back to the Argentine Football Association complex. The fans waved the national flag and chanted, “Messi is not leaving”.
