Should Animals of all kind be tested and hurt to find cures and medicine safe for humans? Animal testing is horrible it should be stopped, In this essay you’ll be reading about how bad animal testing.
Animal testing shouldn’t be continued because it’s cruel and inhumane. Animal testing started in the mid 19th century, hurting these animals to find cures for diseases. Louis Pasteur and his so called buddy’s studied infectious diseases in domestic animals. He tasted his hypothesis by examining the guts of chickens that were suffering from cholera (Botting and Morrison). They also tested on rabbits, yes cute little fluffy tailed rabbits and guinea pigs which people think that they’re some kind of rat, but they’re not. …show more content…

Are there laws about animal testing? Using animals for testing is legally- sanctioned animal abuse. 100 million animals are exploited in biomedical, aeronautic, automotive, military, agricultural, and cognitive research. 95% of these animals are not protected by the law (Animal Legal Defense fund). Vivisection is one of the worst forms of institutionalized animal abuse in our society. Animals in lab live stressful, monotonous , and unnatural lives of deprivation. Over 2.5 million animals are used in biomedical experimentation, product and cosmetic testing. This includes—dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, pigs, sheep, monkeys, chimpanzees, and more (Neavs).
Animals and humans are similar yet different at the same time. Scientists kill more than 100 million animals a year. Animals like mice, rats, frogs, dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, monkeys, fish and birds. Animals and humans feel the same things. They empathy, fear, anger, disgust. Who else has those feelings, oh yeah humans. We have those exact feelings. So how would you feel if you became a test subject and you were tortured and hurt and beat to get answers for scientists.
Animals being used for testing is cruel and inhumane. From what you’ve heard about animal testing, let’s hope you know bad it is, and how it should be stopped. Animal testing may help humans but what if the animals that they use go extinct. Then no one can have them as a pet or just to look at. They are killing animals left and right.
