The relationship between the British and the colonist changed during the French and Indian War because of the way the British affected life economically, socially and geographically. Britain accumulated debt from wars that it had fought with neighboring countries as well as trying to protect the American Colonies. This greatly affected the economy of Britain. Another cause of debt was Britain’s expansion around the globe. This put the British in dire financial state and it only got worse as the French and Indian War began. The British could not afford another war but war was what they got. The British were not collecting enough revenue from the colonies in order to pay off said debt which only made their situation worse (Doc F). The
