To someone that hasn’t taken this class, I would tell them that learning is a lifelong thing that you have to be proactive in. You have to be purposeful and intentional and aware of how you’re completing or learning something. As an adult, learning is not the same as it was in the second grade. You need to know how you think, and process, become aware of it, and use your strengths and weaknesses to your advantage, and learn how to improve your weaknesses to be able to become beneficial to you. Learning is something that has to be conscious.
Before this class’s completion, to me, the term learning was not just learning algebra or English composition to regurgitate for a test. To me, learning was something that is a lifelong task, be it consciously or subconsciously. You learn something every day, be it something significant or mundane. For example, the light in the bathroom of my barracks was broken so I grabbed the closest thing to a screwdriver I had, which was my knife, and used my technical reasoning and sequence to try and fix it. I consciously knew which learning pattern I was using, and more specifically, after this class, I now notice when myself, or someone else is using a certain learning pattern, and I become very aware of it.
Being a Dynamic learner, a benefit is being very well-rounded. I’m not fantastic in any one subject area, but I am okay at all of them. I can learn basically any way; hands-on is my preferred, but I can learn well reading and writing, and also
