According to Stuart Taylor, the film exaggerates the amount of rapes that happens on college campuses, and how it downplays how much the college investigate rape allegations. In reality, Taylor's statement downplays the actual number of rapes that happen each year on college campuses. He does not take into account that many rape and/or sexual assault victims do not report their rape and/or sexual assault to the college and police because out of fear, the belief that no one would believe in them, knowing that the punishment for the rapist will not be enough, and the weakness in how colleges handle rape and sexual assault allegations.
I disagree with the panel about narrowing the definition of rape because not everyone define rape the same way, similarly, people define what is considered consensually sex.

This is another example about how colleges do not protect their students enough and how unfair treatment between the victim and the rapist. The rapist will create an association between his actions and punishment that if he sexually assaults a woman, he will get away with it. With these type of punishments, the rapist will never understand how his actions not only hurt his victim, the victim’s friends and family, but also, himself in the long run.
