Career Goals My goal is to become a Radiologist. A radiologist is licensed doctor who examines and diagnoses disorders and diseases using x-rays and radioactive materials. I would be expected to schedule examinations and assign the radiology staff, conduct physical examinations to inform decisions about appropriate procedures, develop treatment plans for radiology patients, prepare detailed reports and findings, and share results to physicians, patients, or families. The average hourly wage for a radiologist is approximately $90. The average yearly income is around $187,200. I would like to become a radiologist because the environment interested me since I was in sixth grade when I went to the radiologist to see if I had fractured my tibia. I need to be able to write out the results in a way everyone can understand exactly what I found. I am able to write out important information very clearly. I need to be able to active listen. I have to give my full attention to what people are saying and take time to understand what is being said but also ask questions at appropriate times. Listening and giving my full attention to someone talking is a skill that I have but asking questions is something I need to work on. Critical thinking is a skill that I have to have. Using logic and reasoning to know the best option to help someone is important. I do think critically by trying to find the best way to do anything. Problem solving is important. I need the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong and try to fix it. Inductive reasoning is the ability to take pieces of information and but all of the pieces together to make a conclusion. I need to have deductive reasoning.
