Reflection: Pursuit of Happiness The pursuit of Happiness is the story of a man set out to make a more preponderant life for him and his son. He is a member of the urban underclass. This is defined as a gregarious class living in disadvantaged neighborhoods that are characterized by penuriousness, family disruption, male unemployment, and lack of individuals in high-status vocations. He dreams of achieving convivial mobility, the ability to transmute gregarious classes. He reaches vertical mobility because he changes from one convivial class to another. One the sociological findings are achieved status; achieved status is those procured by virtue of individual effort. For example Chris gained this status because he had somebody that believed in him and optically discerned potential in him that he would be an asset to his company and genuinely being his business to the top. This movie is inspiring and shows a very paramount perspective that sanctions us to identify ostensibly remote and impersonal convivial forces and connect them to our everyday life. Socialization is another sociological finding in this movie; socialization is the process in which you learn the convivial prospects that society place on you. Gender roles additionally play an affect in this movie because of the jobs Chris culled such as being in the navy he mentally conceived being in the navy would make him a man and avail him be a great father. Being a salesman he took this as him being his own boss and endeavoring to be prosperous with the products he were selling and endeavoring to earn a living. Chris Gardner had all reasons to adopt such a way through which he could earn easy cash by utilizing illicit and illegitimate designates, but he opted to flow against the wave direction and efficaciously contravene the circumstances instead of capitulating in front of the subsisting status qua and that is precisely where his greatest victory lies.
