Roses are red, violets are blue, I love my dog, and you will too. The “Puppy Paws” award would have to go to the greatest dog, Rocco. This award means a dog who is there whenever you need him. When I got Rocco, my life changed, considering the amount of responsibilities it takes to own a dog. It was all incredibly worth it though because I have been waiting for a dog since I could speak out the word dog. The “Puppy Paws” award goes to Rocco for being the greatest, and he comforts me, protects me, and plays with me.

At night, if there is a squirrel or a light that turns on outside, he runs out and barks. He wilrotect me and my family so we will never get hurt. Rocco will do anything to help. On the the other hand, if there is a snake, lizard, frog, bug, or even a mouse, he will play with it and probably sadly kill it. Rocco cares about his family so much, he will do as much as he can to protect us.
I do not have a younger sibling, but I hang out with my sister as well as Rocco, I have the most fun with him. Rocco plays catch, fetch, races, and even tag. I love him so much and we together have made so many funny memories. Ever since Rocco has been in my life, I haven't really ever been bored. Whenever I have a disgraceful day, he will make me smile the brightest in the world, he has a natural talent at that. There are a bunch of features to Rocco that have not been announced that are interesting that I could go on and on forever about. It is true that my brother is still the younger sibling and even at the age of 17 he is still receiving all the perks of being the baby. However, my parents are beginning to buckle down again, and crack down on his bad behavior around the home. As a result I see him getting in more trouble now then he did as a kid. Of course I do wonder if the trouble he is getting into now even impacts him because he has grown out of his formative years. I guess only time will tell.

Later in the story Saro-Wiwa tells that Robert never misses a chance to exercise the power he has over his family. This type of pathological behaviour is common among people with an inferiority complex, something Robert is very likely to have attained, due to the treatment he has received. Later when the dog is introduced to the story, Robert has enlightenment and reveals to us and to himself his place in the hierarchy. He had always thought himself above them, but now discovers he is down with the dogs. This shattering blow to his self-image makes him aware of his own feelings and features. When his master throws him a treat or a kind word, he "wags his tail" and feels indefinite gratitude, just like a dog. He does his master's bidding with a heartfelt glee, just like a dog. And he loves his master above all else, just like Bingo, the dog. The revelation causes hatred to swell his servant mind, at length resulting in Robert taking a step up the hierarchical ladder, and the tragic premature death of Bingo, the dog.
