For instance, the way that psychology is taught as an undergraduate and a graduate program in China verses America. Chinese students tend to choose to study abroad for psychology in America for the benefit of the numerous undergraduate and graduate programs that are offered all over the country. Not only does America obtain so many different programs, there is also an abundance of developing and available jobs in the field of psychology that are readily available in China. The two Universities that are being compared is the PeKing University (PKU) in Beijing and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (UMHB) located in Central Texas. UMHB is a religious institution so it requires that their students take a religious based class and PKU is a political institution and requires their student’s to take a political based course. These programs are not all different though, they do share some similarities such as their core courses for the undergraduate degree. These courses include: General Psychology, Statistics, Experimental Psychology, Psychological Methods, and Assessment and Evaluation. Along with that each institution requires that the students take a physical education course and multiple English Language courses to complete their degree. Chinese universities usually do not require a lot of homework and do not often have a lot of rigorous requirements for their students to complete an undergraduate program, but they do rely heavily on large thesis-type papers and final exams for their students to complete an undergraduate degree. The American undergraduate programs differ on the basis of their programs because American universities rely on reading the textbooks, weekly quizzes, peer assignments, group projects/presentations, and outside assignments such as interviews and
