Although some people think that locker searches are a good thing. Some people think differently. Lockers should not be searched. It invades personal space, It breaks trust, and it creates too much time for the administrators. Even Though people take advantage of their lockers thats there problem not anyone else's. It invades their personal space. It's not anyone else's business. Like some schools have rules you can't put food in your locker. Or you can have drinks. Some students put food an things in there locker because they can't eat school food. Some kids that's the only food they get in a day. Also, when school's do this is breaks the trust between the students and workers. This makes the students feel like they can't be trusted by the
Many people today have faced a time or two where their person, property, or homes have been search by law enforcement. Search and seizure is when law enforcement authorities or police officers suspect someone of criminal activity and performs a search. During the search the officer may take anything that can be used as evidence to present to the courts. It is a chance that some people’s rights and privacy have been violated during these searches and seizures. The United States Constitution Fourth Amendment has been put into place to protect the rights of citizens against unreasonable searches and seizure by law enforcement authorities.
It is easy and very cost effective for custodians to hang thirty hooks along a wall in every classroom over the summer, or even just have students lie their backpacks along an internal wall in the classroom. this will prevent tripping and will keep the classroom clean and organized. Manny belive that have backpacks will promote the use of contraband of weapons and/or drugs however this is simply not true most of the time when this happens backpacks play little to no role. students that bring weapons or drugs carry them in sweatshirts or jackets. backpacks are just used to get them to and from school which students have the ability to do now. In order to carry a backpack around all day every student will sign a contract giving administration full power over student backpack usage. in the contract students will agree to not bring any
The school locker is usually the only private space available to a student in the environment of the school. So it focuses many of the main issues involved in privacy of the students. The 4th Amendment of the US Constitution states “The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the person or things to be seized.”
Bags and purses in schools have changed from being the schools property to personal property, because of one case. The New Jersey v. T.L.O court case gave a student a way to change privacy for students nationally. Even though in some situations the use of bags are turned into the institution belongings. It started with one flame in a foul school restroom with 2 negligent girls , both eager for a whiff of smoke. The teen had made the situation escalade by lying about even smoking the cigarette, which the school had curiosity about. Only the case didn't slide through the courts with ease there were many setbacks and misconceptions. The light of the case came from the existence of the fourth amendment dealing with personal privacy and reasonable
Searches and seizures in schools are not recent issues; however they are becoming more public now than in recent years. The Bill of Rights covers searches and seizures under the Fourth Amendment which states that “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized” (Bill of Rights par. 9). Under the Bill of Rights, citizens are guaranteed a right to privacy and are protected from unreasonable searches and seizures that are conducted without “probable cause,” evidence sufficient to warrant an arrest or search and seizure.
The school is to protect the students from any wrong doing towards them. Such act, parents, school official and other authorities will be contacted. The case in Oakland County MI, opens many eyes for students and parents. The school board has responsibility to report such harm. This is not taken lightly, serious offense. Students could face years in prison, or face felonies.
Which can be having armed officers walk though halls, making sure the school is safe from any harm that could potentially happen.
Employers are also being cheated because the teachers fail to do their job right. For example, if a student went to school to be a nurse and is passed because he or she doesn’t disrupt class and was a good student this cause them to get a diploma. However, when they get into the real world they cannot deliver what is expected of them and can also be very costly for the employers. Therefore, the employer has no choice but to rehire and retrain. If the teacher were using the “F” word then the student would take the class more seriously and realize that their future is at stake.
Schools are supposed to be second homes. It goes without saying that students should feel safe, comfortable, and happy at school. They're all there for the same reason. They're all stuck in the same boat of studying for the same diploma exams and going to the same assemblies.
On the first day of school, teachers demonstrated how to correctly open lockers to their students. However, many students (including seventh graders) were having difficulty mastering this concept. From experience, students can spend around 10 minutes trying to open their lockers. Not only it could be difficult for regular students, but it is also a challenge for short students that have a top locker. They constantly are strengthening their toes by standing on their tippy toes trying to get a grasp on their top locker.
Since then, parents and students have complained about physical hardships caused by carrying heavy bags around campus. However, while there are cons of using lockers in schools, Now imagine yourself as a student who is able to leave their copious amounts of textbooks and papers in their locker. Nice, right? At least until your neighbor pulls a gun out of their own locker and threatens you. Or, until your friend brings you over to their locker, takes out drugs from behind their books, and you end up getting caught with it.
Businesses would have a room where they store their data which they would need to protect as it would be very important for the business to securely hold. This would be important as the business would need to make sure that the details that they hold of the customers is secure as it could get misused and then the business would be the ones that caused this. The business may start to lose customers and sales as their reputation would be affected. This is important because of the Data Protection Act. All personal information of students must be protected by the school. If this was to go wrong such as hacking, they would have access to addresses of students and information of parents. Also the documents that contain personal information may be misplaced so people that get hold of this would use this for the wrong use such as identity theft. Example of this would be, Moseley park as they would have personal information of the students and they would have a rooms where this is stored, so to protect this when the teachers want to access the documents they store it in a locked room and only the staff would have the key to the door. There would be cameras around the room so they can monitor to access the room. The business would be making sure that they have all of their data backed up so that when they lose something they are able to recover it. This is important because the business may lose data, or they may be affected by a virus so they would have a copy of the data. Also the computer’s hardware may have problems, so the computer might not be working so they wouldn’t have access to the documents. If this was to go wrong the school may lose their documents as the computer may stop working a...
