The Great Fire of London came at a time when the city was less developed and had poor planning techniques to cater for any fire occurrences and emergencies. The fire is recorded to have been one of the disastrous calamities to occur in the human history. Almost the whole of the London city and its environs were reduced to nothingness. Therefore, with regard to the impacts of the fire and its subsequent transformations on the lives of the people the major cities of London, this paper will seek to address both the positive and negative repercussions of the Great Fire of London. The fire covered a wide geographical area of the city consuming all buildings in its wake ranging from schools, churches, and cathedrals as well as the London hospitals.
