Porn and prostitution are they the same ?

In the past, there was an extremely small number of jobs that was available to women. If the women were poor and had no husband they would more than likely turn to prostitution as a main source of income. As time went on, more varied jobs were available to women, which caused the number of prostitutes to decrease significantly and finally it was made completely illegal by the government. In legal terms prostitution is a lewd act that is committed for money or other considerations. For an action to be considered a “lewd” act one party must commit an action that is considered indecent. Lewd act in prostitution is limited to sexual acts such as oral sex, indecent exposure, and any other sexual activities. For an action to be considered prostitution, it must involve two parties of the opposite or same sex that agree to commit sexual acts, at least one person must be given compensation for the sexual acts performed in the time period of prostitution, the prostitute must have a middle man or pimp taking care of them, the prostitute must wear clothes that will arouse potential customers and both parties must copulate/perform other sexual acts such as oral sex. The porn industry is one of the most controversial industry because it involves lewd acts being committed by actors. porn is considered by many to be prostitution because there are two individuals committing a lewd act on camera and both parties involved in making a porn film are getting paid for their services , which makes porn fit into the categories of prostitution because of closely similar they are to each other.

Both prostitutes and actor would always have some sort of manager, which in the prostitutes’ case would be the pimp. They would have the sole purpose of finding customers or directors to hire the their girls so that both the girl and their handlers are getting paid for their services and finally both of them are wearing extremely revealing outfits for the same purpose of gaining customers or getting someone’s attention. In the end, through the legal eyes would say that porn stars are different from prostitutes because they are creating art through film makers, but actors would have almost the same core function as prostitutes, which is to commit sexual acts while getting compensated at the same time.
