As humans, we are seduced by control. However, is control a mere illusion? Control is a subjective idea. Almost as an illusion that originates at the individuals desires and interests. For a lifetime, you could elaborate the future, you have dreamed of. By plugging into a machine that could potentially give the illusion of such life. Initially, freeing individuals of accountability of their lives, then providing them with the life they desire. Would a person have absolute control in their life? Furthermore, wouldn't that person in a way be subdued to the machines formula of events? For instance, as a child, I used to envision about being tall enough to ride roller coasters. When the day came to ride one arrived, I wasn't satisfied with the sensation of it. It would be troubling to live a life that in theory is ideal. However, that in reality is disturbing; this without mentioning the possible threat of an unpleasant experience would be permanent, instead of sporadically. Additionally, it would lessen my essence as a human. It would restrict the possibility to transform and reinvent myself. Plugging in the time machine would be limiting future to other peoples' experiences without being able to create personal events. For instance, what would of happen if remarkable people throughout history decided to be part of the experiment? Would that operation alter the result of the world we live in? Connectedly, would there be a lack of diversity among our societies? If we continue to replay others experiences, others thoughts and others achievements. As interesting as plugging in the machine sounds, this decision is a comfortable one. Comfortable, in the sense that releases the person from being accountable for their future and the outcome of their actions. The reason why is because regardless of the order of events, the result will be the same. Such events are altered beforehand. Moreover, as an individual, that seeks uniqueness, I would be limited to other's experiences and achievements. To clarify, the outcome of my life would be a collage manipulated by
