I am resident of village Keti Mir Mohammad Ghumro of Taluka Kingri in district Khairpur, presently living in Karachi with my immediate family. Back in village lives my 84 year old father with widows of his two late sons, grand children and three sons - two of them are married. I work here in Karachi with one of the largest private sector power generation company of the country at a responsible position. My children are studying in Karachi at university, college and school levels.
Brief Background of Village
Our village Keti Mir Mohammad Ghumro is situated around 8 kms north of Pir Jo Goth in Kutcha area on the left bank of river Indus and is inhabited predominantly by us Ghumros for centuries. Our prime source of earning is through agriculture. The village has although a small population, it is scattered over an area roughly 3 sq kms. The village is unique in that it has over 100 year old primary school which has been catering for not only the villagers but students from villages local to us. We as head family of the village have ever since encouraged education of the village children as opposed to the cliché that village heads rather discourage village children from education. We have had in the past doctors, engineers, professors, lawyers and geniuses in other professional fields because of this primary school that continues to build a solid basis of students for higher education todate. Our village and the Ghumros are known for their love for peace and law-abiding nature. Never in the history of this village has there been any crime and never have there been people in the Ghumro family siding or patronizing the crime. Long-term health care consists of personal medical, and social services rendered to elders with chronic indispositions. These types of services are carried out through several different means, such as nursing homes, home health care, and respite care. The focus on long-term care is to provide an environment assisting with treatments plans, personal up keep and rehabilitation. As the largest part of our growing population reaches retirement age, several new questions and issues have arose. Financially, long term health has is an ever growing concern of the elder population and those who have accepted the financial burden. A large portion of the economy struggles with the cost of the ever rising prices of health care. The economy has been hindered with financial difficulty and it has had several implications on the ways we spend our money. For some of the baby boomers, it has left them with no choice but to continue to work in order to provide. For others, it has left them no option but to live with family members or seek assistants elsewhere. Income has evolved into a stressor for elders planning retirement.

Many families in India simply cannot afford to feed their kids. Children are forced to work to help their families pay for everyday essentials, including food. These children don’t have the opportunity to receive a basic education that would enable them to become successful adults. As a result, another generation of uneducated persons is created, and the vicious cycle continues.
Today is our first day of being the leaders, doers, and problem solvers of the future. Those who persevere, who give it their all and approach each day with optimism will ultimately meet success and happiness. Of course, there will be many a failure on that windy road of life, but with dedication, we can do anything and make any dream come true. But, as we grow older and encounter success, we must not forget those who have had it rough, whose lives may have hit some potholes on the way, and we must take care of those who need a helping hand. As each of us leaves our mark on the world, be generous and be happy, and always remember the good times, good friends, and lessons learned at Marefat.
Education is the source of all power allowing people to achieve any dream they choose. A person without a true education is nothing more than an empty shell living an empty and pointless life. The process of education begins at conception and the human mind continues to learn until the time of their death but most lessons are learned in the first five years of life. When the topic of education is discussed it isn’t how much is needed but how best to provide the education. The need for high quality education is typically agreed upon; how best to provide that education is not as easily as settled. The five major social institutions in large societies are family, education, religion, politics, and economics. For example, for schools to be able to exist they rely on funding from the government. This is an intersection between politics and education. A dusty, one-room schoolhouse on the edge of a village. An overworked teacher trying to manage a room full of boisterous children. Students sharing schoolbooks that are in perpetual short supply, crammed in rows of battered desks. Children worn out after long treks to school, stomachs rumbling with hunger. Others who vanish for weeks on end, helping their parents with the year-end harvest. Still others who never come back, lacking the money to pay for school uniforms and school supplies. Such is the daily dilemma faced by many young people in the developing world as they seek to obtain that most precious of all commodities, an education.

However, almost all global nation states have assured their commitment in addressing various girl child challenges and allowed a declaration to enable each young girl and boy receive education by the year 2015 (Herz and Sperling 17). This target was firmly established and approved in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. However, this study will focus on girls’ education in Africa and its impacts to their livelihood.

The province of Pakistan which I belong to, i.e., KPK, has very few quality education institutions. After my matriculation from Talash valley, a remote area of KPK, I had a dream to get admission at Islamia College Peshawar which is a prestigious educational institution. During exam a mishap shattered my academic dreams. Somebody threw a paper plane from outside exam hall that carried the script, "This is just for entertainment." Superintendent got exasperated and coerced all students to stop writing. I got 81% marks in matric and missed my target of securing admission in Islamia College by 1%. This incident proved to be a blessing in disguise and a turning point for my later achievements. Through my persistent hard-work and incessant motivation from my teachers, I got many prestigious awards. I got a gold medal and presidential award for securing top position in Malakand Board. Merit scholarships for Bachelor's and Master's were conferred on me which relieved financial burden from my parents.
