Physics in Basketball
Physics plays a huge role in terms of basketball, because basketball do require essential parts of physics such as speed, velocity, force, newton second law, and newton third law. speed and acceleration are somehow related to each other because in order to determine how fast you want the ball to reach the hoop it will require speed, and as well as acceleration because the speed of the ball depends on newton's 2 law because it has the capability to calculate how much mass and the acceleration. Mass is how much force you will put on the ball in order to release the ball. Therefore, velocity determines in what direction you would want to shoot the ball, and when you jump in order to shoot the ball then that will be able …show more content…

In order to know what angle, you will need to shoot depends on the distance and the force you will put in and the basketball will defiantly have (different word of acting) the gravity (9.8m/s'2). If you wanted to calculate m/s of any part of basketball you could use the average speed formula with is distance/time, or you could calculate the distance by rotating the formula around. For instance, if you wanted to shoot half-court you will need to put more mass onto the ball and increase your speed as the half court is quite far away from the hoop and you will need to use the protractor as an imagination as I said because you shouldn't shoot it in 90° however, it should be in 48 degrees because you increased the mass and speed to it would be more beneficial to hit the back board with then it would allow the ball to get into the hoop. Dribbling and passing is related by shooting the basketball because every part of basketball does require all parts of physics I mentioned above whether it was for passing, shooting, or dribbling. Without energy you won't be able to put force on the ball to dribble the ball and kinetic and potential are completely opposite of each other because when you put force of the ball to dribble that will cause kinetic energy, while when it bounces the ground it
