I do not wish for a career that will result in a perfect life, I desire a career with the capability to create an impact. The field of health sciences fulfills my desire due to the unceasing potential I can grasp to make a difference through empowering others. Furthermore, a career in physical therapy encompasses several opportunities for me to provide to those in need and is a vital role in healthcare. In order for me to reach my goal, I realize that I must pursue undergraduate studies at a four year university and to continue on to physical therapy school. With a major in pre-physical therapy I can strive to achieve my greatest hope of having the opportunity to fulfill my passion of perseverance towards fellow brothers and sisters. Situations of a child born with a deformity which makes walking difficult, a veteran suffering to walk with a prosthetic leg, and an athlete eager to get back on the field, share a similar need of physical therapy. Throughout my schooling I have always made the effort to go beyond the classroom by being involved with service. Moreover, by committing myself to service I learned that I have a passion for improving the way of life for others. With this I tested myself by frequently volunteering at a nursing home where I explored the gifts of health care. At the retirement home, I had the ability to make an impact by providing aid and joy to the residents. By undergoing service at the nursing home I discovered that I truly desire to strive in a health care profession.
