Philosophy in Horror Film “Good film often outdistance even the combines creative intentions of those who create them.” (Why Film and Philosophy, p.15) A lot of companies know that honor and thrilling movies are not everyone first choice to watch, the scary movie is made to give negative emotion to the audience, and those movies often will not be in the top movie of the year, but they still make those movies every year. Same with me, they believe that there are still some people like to enjoy the horror movie. Although they are frightened, nevertheless people still like to watch because people are curious about the spirit world which scary movies are represented, the concepts of the horror movies can teach ethic for the audience, and it reminds people the scariness. The first reason of why people like to watch horror movies is it represents the spirit world, and many people are curious about it. Many of the horror movies now a day were based on the pictures and stories about the spirit world such as The Conjuring (2013), Annabelle (2014), Deliver Us From Evil (2014), and the audience want to go to watch those movies so they can imagine how the spirit world look like which they have not seen before in their daily life. Most of the concept was based on the Law of Karma which is every action in life must have the consequence. In the movie, the audience will see how things turn out when someone does something bad to others. The audience can also experience themselves with the excitation transfer which is at the end of the movie, bad things happen with bad people, good people survive and have the happy ending like other movies. The horror movie does not just give the audience the scariness, and thrilling, but it also teaches ethic to people, and that is the reason why people like to go to watch
