Persuasive Speech On Multitasking

Multitasking has become a common trend in today’s society.

A.) Many people think multitasking is a way of life and think juggling multiple tasks at once saves time.

B.) Texting while driving has resulted in serious injuries/death.

A.) Good evening everyone and thank you for inviting me to speak.

B.) The purpose of this speech is to persuade everyone in taking a pledge to never text while drive.

C.) Texting and driving is an epidemic that is taking the lives of thousands of peoples each year.

1.) Trending News; there is a new trend spreading causing drivers worldwide to black out for five seconds at a time.

2.) This is called texting while driving.

3.) Texting and driving causes an interruption in driving allowing the eyes to drift off the road for a minimum of 5 seconds.

4.) Being blindfolded for 5 seconds can be a tremendous danger for the driver and other standby citizens.

II. Statistics from texting and driving.

A.)Texting while driving is a leading cause of automobile accidents among young adults in America.

1.) The third cause is speed/ aggressive driving (Road Rage).

2.) The second cause is drinking while driving.

B.) Texting while driving facts and statistics.
