Just how would it feel Mom and Dad, if you didn’t have to worry about getting groceries, picking up my little siblings from school, do all of your fast needed errands? You could relax at home and let your trusty daughter fulfill most of your driving necessities. I believe attaining a driver’s license will be of great convenience to our family. Why? Because if I had a driver’s license not only will I not have to bother you guys about taking me places, I could also help you guys around the house. Learning how to drive at a young age will help me understand the road better and my driving skills would become more efficient. I understand your main concern is my safety, but I feel like I have been brought up in a home which taught me morals and values that will guide me to make the correct choices and distinguish right from wrong. I know driving is probably one of the most dangerous positions one could be in, but if you get your driver’s license at an early age, then you will be more familiar with all of its concepts which will help you become a safe and responsible driver!As you guys know I will be graduating high school soon and I am involved in many of activities like volleyball practice, volunteering at the hospital, and lunch volunteer at my brothers’ school. I find it much easier if I am able to drive myself to these places. I am busy almost everyday of the week, it would save you time by not having to stop whatever it is your doing to take me there. ...o come to a decision about allowing me to get my driver’s license. I’m not asking for you to buy me a car or let me drive just for fun. As a teenager, all of us want to get our license. But I want it for a different reason than the average person. I want it so that I can prepare myself ahead for when I am going to really need my license. I don’t need to drive all the time. Just places near home, or the grocery store, or the post office. Anything to help me improve my driving skills and experience. Everyone nowadays is occupied with school, responsibilities at home, and work. If I am there to make your day even a little bit easier, we could have more time for each other as a family. I truly hope you guys take all of this into consideration and give me permission to earn my driver’s license. I promise you won’t regret your approval, and I love you both no matter what!
Olympics fans are missing the fastest paced sport in the world. I think NASCAR should be one of the sports in the olympics. The following will help me get my point across: competitiveness, popularity, and that it is fast-paced.
There are approximately 5,400 deaths per year that are linked to distracted driving, and thousands more were injured. (U.S. Department of Labor). Those fatalities are our neighbors, close friends, and even family. How can we prevent this from being so prominent? How can we make the roads a safe place to be again? These questions have many different answers, but many prove to be un-effective. I believe that the best and only way to resolve this issue is to implement tougher laws on cell-phone use in vehicles, and educate our youth to the best of our abilities on the dangers of distracted driving.

I distinctly remember the day I first went driving. It was a cold and wet day and I was supposed to have my first driving lesson. My mother had told me that for the first lesson we would sit in the car the whole time, my teacher would tell me how the car worked, and we would maybe practice pulling in and out of the driveway. There is a massive amount of car accidents that occur every day, that consequently become fatal. In many cases, the driver and the passengers do not have on a seat belt to prevent them from being thrown out of the car or colliding with another car, causing them to be thrown against the dashboard or some other tragic accident. Some people may think, “Wearing a seatbelt isn’t cool”, “I’m only going down the street” or sometimes just irresponsibly forget to put on their seatbelt when they are inside of a vehicle. You may think that wearing a seatbelt is not trendy and you are only making a quick trip going down the street to the corner store, however, you cannot control others actions on the road anything can happen in the blink of an eye.
Getting my drivers’ license was an intense feeling that I will never forget. Just knowing that I had a drivers’ license made me feel so free, as free as a bird flying in the open sky with no real place to go, just a desire to be free. I felt like I could do anything. I had new responsibilities like most adults, and I came to a realization that I had lived through one of the most important events in the process of growing up. This event opened up many possibilities for me such as interests in cars, driving skill improvement, and freedom.
