Introduction:
Did you know that brain cancer that has one of the lowest success rates of all cancers? It is true, after one year after diagnosis there is a 50% survival rate, but this drastically changes to a terribly low 19% after 5 years. Brain cancer is a deadly disease where cancer and brain cells clump together to form a brain tumor (a huge lump of cancerous, and brain) flesh. Brain Tumours that are cancerous are malignant, and non-cancerous Tumours are benign. These deadly lumps of cancer can be found in the brain and spine.

Thesis:
The survival rates for brain cancer should definitely be improved. To solve this, governments across the world should provide more monetary support to hospitals, organisations and universities, such as the …show more content…

This $100 million dollars would be split and divided to the different organisations, hospital, centres depending on which half of them would need it the most. If some countries don’t have many treatment centres or do not need as much money because their treatment centres are already really advanced. The most common types are:

Astrocytomas: They can come from anywhere in the brain/spinal cord. They are the most common tumor. For adults it occurs in the cerebrum, the largest part of the brain. It tells us what is going on, it also shows controls our senses.

Glioblastoma/Glioblastoma Multiforme/GBM: Is a form of malignant tumour that forms anywhere in the brain but most commonly in the frontal and temporal lobes. They usually effect adults.

Meningioma/Meningeal Tumours: They start in the membrane brain/spinal cord. 15% of all brain Tumours. Most of these Tumours are benign, but some can be malignant. They are usually removed be surgery. Women 30-50 years old usually get it.

Conclusion:
To conclude, in order for the survival rate of brain cancer to improve we must provide more monetiary support to the scientists, researchers, physicians, surgeons to investigate in the possibility of new and improved treatments. Brain cancer is a big issue that must be addressed sooner than later. Even though it is a major killer, brain cancer deaths can be reduced with better and more effective treatment.
