Recommended: Zoos are beneficial for animals

Did you now about 15 million people visit 500 zoos every year? The first time I went to a zoo, I saw the penguin habitat that was amazing! I got to see the penguins dive into the water there was some snow coming out of tubes to make them feel like there at home, and it looked like they were having a lot of fun they got to eat fresh fish coming from tubes too. Some people think zoos are bad. I disagree because zoos provide care for animals they have some of the best veterinarians. They get protection from poachers and also predators. In my opinion, animals do live a healthy physical life in a zoo. In the first place, 28 % of wildlife extinction was saved because of zoos. That’s about 29 years. Zoos are trying keep animals from extinction. Zoos goals are to save the threatened animals. The only reason zoos are fighting extinction is because of poachers. Some of the most amazing animals are up for extinction. Zoos are on our side to stop that. Zoos are trying to save twenty threatened species twenty animals is a lot. All of the money that zoos get goes straight to fighting extinction. Did you now that the zoos already saved 3 species from extinction. They have a lot more to go but their working on it. Zoos are trying to save both locally and globally animals. Zoos are doing everything to fight extinction before its too late.
Most importantly, zoos have breeding programs. Some animals are getting extinct such as ferrets, bald eagles, cheetahs, pandas, rhinos, even chimpanzees. In fact, about 1,200 rhinos have been killed in 2014. There have been more killed this year too. 21 % of animals are close to extinction. Zoos are trying to stop wildlife extinction. Zoos are on our team, zoos are trying to save the wildlife. Zoos provide education to, so you can walk up close to them to study them so zoos play a really good role in fighting extinction.
