These are the words of Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr regarding this issue. In the National Football league (NFL), the commissioner and certified referees are really cracking down and penalizing excessive celebrations after big plays. Players of the NFL deserve to have a little fun, they work so hard. Celebrations are an excellent way to express yourself, enjoy the moment, and have some fun in a league so competitive. As said by famous Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi “If winning isn’t everything, then why do they keep score?” Winning is so important in this stage of the sport, it is everything in the NFL. It is so hard to wrap my mind around all the money that goes around the NFL, it is just amazing. Players make millions, general managers are super rich, and even the betting between friends in a small town or big bets in Las Vegas. As the league keeps growing and expanding, worldwide with games in London and even Mexico City, it has become so serious and important to win games that some of the fun and creativity is gone for the players. Clearly making millions to just play football is not at all a bad job, but can we at least let them some have some fun doing what they love? Also most players and analysts, think celebrations make the game more interesting. The League is very large, and to managers and owners of franchises it is strictly business.
