Quit? Are you kidding? Quitting is for losers! Failure is not an option! Fight to the death! Go to the mattresses! Ok, the last quote was from “The Godfather”, but the others are the typical, and by that I mean ego or other emotionally-driven response by so many people when they are trying to decide if its time to throw in the towel on their business endeavor. After all, entrepreneurs are accustomed to fighting and fighting hard for their dream…until the NEXT dream comes along. My point is that there is no easy answer to this question, but if the question is resonating at all with you, then perhaps its time to give it some brutally honest consideration. In my opinion, sometimes quitting is the bravest thing you can do.

So! You are living your dream! Or…you were. Then “something” happened. And lets face it, “something” always happens eventually. If you’ve been in business long enough, then there have most assuredly been numerous occasions where you were thrown in with the proverbial lions and came out the victor! You braced yourself against a vicious economic downturn and still managed to remain standing when the dust settled and the skies cleared! So…what is the difference about this certain “something”? Now, I’m not suggesting that everyday should be a party (unless of course you are in the party planning business) but once that initial honeymoon phase has ended you should still truly enjoy operating your company. There are going to be plenty of really hard days, weeks, even months that you will likely endure in any industry, but if you don’t even like what you are doing how can you expect to want to work your business let alone grow your customer base?
