Persuasive Thesis: Children who are home-schooled develop the same social skills as children in public and private schools do. Argument: I believe this topic is important because I feel that most people, when they think of home-schooled children, they think of someone who might be immature, or socially awkward. While this may be true for some, research has shown that children who are home-schooled children are well socially developed. It is easier to have a social life in this day and age, as there are easier ways to stay connected, i.e Facebook, Twitter, etc. Related Theories/Concepts: This relates to Observational Conditioning, as infants are having social interaction with parents and relatives.
