Do we control our own thoughts and actions, are we the true authors of our inner voice, is are consciousness the origin of our visions and do we really make our own decisions? What if none of those are rational, and some neuroscientists actually think it is impossible, and it 's more likely that our choices are already made before we are aware of them, and everything you have ever said was organized in your head long before your consciousness was hearing them.
In fact many researchers come to this conclusion, free will can 't be real it 's just an illusion. Most people believe they have free will, they control what they think and do, but what exactly is free will? Free will is the freedom of self-determination and action independent of external causes. It is the ability to make choices. A choice is free if it is consistent with a person 's desires and nature. A example of free will is a person has a choice to either eat a cookie or a brownie. Look at it like this every single thing in the universe obeys the laws of physics, every single thing in reality obeys the laws of causality, everything that happens is a reaction to a prior action within an exact locality. Your physical body and brain are made entirely of molecules, how these molecules are arranged depends on your jeans and environment. Every choice you make results from molecular based electrical impulses and chemical transmissions between two tangible brain cells all these impulses and transmissions must obey the fundamental laws of physics including the laws of causality. Is it more likely that everything that pops into your head almost magically is a reaction to a reaction that happens
