Essay For decades the United States of America has stressed the importance of food safety by discovering and preventing outbreaks. Fifteen states have united with the CDC food safety programs to get ahead of persevering foodborne epidemics. The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) empowers the FDA to better defend public health by firming up the food safety system. Congress has shown explicit enactment dates in the legislation. No one who desires to be employed in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food can be given the opportunity to work if said person has any communicable disease. This includes working in a regular food facility restaurant or halls were food is being served and prepared. To be become an appropriately assembled kitchen or dining hall it must be suitable in size. It must also be isolated from any type of sleeping housings of any of the personnel or their relatives shall be provided in connection with all food-handling facilities. There should also be no opening to these any housing directly from the facilities. Not only do the accommodations need to be up to par, but the equipment used of the foodstuff also has regulations. This certain designs are instilled so the equipment can be efficiently washed and disinfected. To make sure the food equipment is up to date for widespread cleanliness and appropriate installation, this is were the more routine inspections come into play as well. Food is becoming more intergraded into our planning and urban design. The plan is to have more fresh vegetables and fruits readily available in a 15-minute walk of every person’s household, stimulating street food and wholesome corner stores a dynamic portion of our metropolitan surroundings. It will revolutionize the way the food in the United States is produced, distributed and integrated into our society. The pubic policies let us be confidant that the quality of the foods we consume will most definitely be up to par with our nations standards. Health policy is equally important; it makes sure agencies like the CDC and the FDA carry out their duties in the FSMA. Which include foodborne illness prevention in the United States. Finally our urban planning and development will be an extensive challenges but also a step forward when it comes to the Food Safety. As a society we were too focused on all the new found technology and how many sky risers we can build, and did not notice how important it is to have nature in our surroundings. At this day in age we need to take a step backwards when it comes to urban planning and incorporate nature into these metropolitan environments once again. Not only will food be more readily available for that are in need but also prevents use of many pesticides that can cause harm to humans. Overall, this act deserves more commendation than it has received, it will truly modernize and equip our society for the future of our
