Therefore, it is essential that the information be truthful and accurate. However, fake news threatens democracy, affects the credibility of traditional media, and interferes with people’s rights to search and receive information. Ending fake news is not an easy task because unscrupulous people will continue to post fake news to earn money, create confusion, and control people; hence, governments, journalists, and people must work together to develop campaigns and initiatives to stop it. It is not about being cynical and skeptical, it is about creating and improving critical thinking skills, so people can analyze information successfully and come to their own conclusions. People should ask themselves if what they are reading makes sense, and if something just does not feel right, they should take action by looking for another source.
