There are many topics that are debated nowadays, like equality, government, obesity, and so on. But not many people take the time to think about an even bigger problem that could possibly take away our home, the earth, forever and wipe out humanity completely. The underestimated, Climate change. Climate change has many devastating effects on anything that lives on Earth. These effects include long, intense droughts, rising sea-levels, animal extinction, stronger natural disasters, unusual patterns, and more. I don't see this topic being discussed enough. This could lead to unusual climate patterns, melting of glaciers, and agricultural effects. According to some estimates, temperatures are predicted to rise around 2.6 celsius to 4.8 celsius by 2100. That might seem like a long time or not a big deal, but just a little increase could have devastating effects. It could bring more unpleasant weather. Also, more intense and frequent hurricanes can happen. This is caused mainly because hot water is what fuels hurricanes. If you think it has gotten bad enough, there is more. The rising of temperatures are causing ice to melt which in turn leads to rising sea levels. The last thing you would want is for your home to be flooded with water. Sea level is rising at an accelerating rate. Even more comes by with climate change, like the extinction of plants and animals. Species around the world are feeling the effects of Hotter days, longer droughts, and intense storms. Species are going extinct and endangered. Don't these creatures have rights?
