The Climate Change Debate.

Climate change, is also referred to as global warming, this is the rise in average surface temperatures on Earth. Most scientists believe that climate change is due mainly to the human use of fossil fuels, which releases carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air. The gases trap heat within the atmosphere, which can have a range of effects on ecosystems, including rising sea levels, severe weather events, and droughts that render landscapes more susceptible to wildfires. The main causes of climate change is the burning of fossil fuels like coal and oil which emits greenhouse gases into the atmosphere mostly carbon dioxide. Human activities to do with agriculture and deforestation, have made major contributions to the proliferation of greenhouse gases that cause climate change. With climate change there can be both positive and negative impacts, for instance extremely strong and violent hurricanes, in places like Arizona high temperatures causing severe heat waves all which are extremely dangerous and life threatening. There are other less serious effects of global warming and climate change such as the spreading of weeds and perhaps longer seasons for growing crops which might be good, a positive aspect but in reality the negatives are far more dangerous and life threatening requiring instant action. The more we learn about how climate change will affect people and the environment, the more we can see why people need to take action to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions that are causing climate change.
There are many things that we can do now that we know that changes are coming. The climate change debate has been a hot topic for years, though there is a general agreement in the scientific community, governments and all other relevant organizations that it is a real problem and its currently happening due to activity of
