Human evolution is a huge topic to discuss and a topic that at the same time isn't really thought about. When human evolution is brought up, the main things that may come to mind is people developing a third eye or having x-ray vision. Human evolution is humans changing over the years not just physically but also mentally and doesn't really have anything to do with a third eye in this case.
The definition for evolution, according to Oxford dictionaries, is “The process by which different kinds of living organism are believed to have developed from earlier forms during the history of the earth.” Evolution is happening so fast and the proof is almost everywhere you look. Our ancestors used them to eat much rougher meals than humans eat today. Their diet consisted of lots of greens for nutrition reasons and most likely tough meats. To keep up with their eating habits, all the teeth they had were needed to chew and their jaws were also larger than humans today. Evolution between then and now consists of a healthier and more diverse diet that doesn't require us to have extra teeth in our mouth nor does our jaws have to be so big. Some humans stopped growing wisdom teeth while others develop them but later have to have them removed. Since our jaws are smaller there are plenty of things that can go wrong with these extra teeth. There's simply not enough space so when they’re growing in they push against our molars that are supposed to be there and cause horrible toothaches. Some people don't have this problem and nothing happens to their wisdom teeth at all but it is still not something they benefit …show more content…

Humans today are said to have no known use for their appendix because of the change in our diets while others say that it's something that we can still use. Because our ancestors ate so many greens and leaves, they needed help digesting them and that is where the appendix came in. Today some scientists are trying to back up the idea that the appendix contains bacteria that's good for our body and helps fight diseases. Scientists that don't believe this use the evidence that the appendix has shrunk over the years because we no longer have a use
