Health care is an essential safeguard of human life and dignity, and there is an obligation for society to ensure that every person be able to realize this right (Bernardin). Many people throughout the country suffer from health problems but they don’t like to go to the doctor. Some people say “Why don’t you go, insurance covers part of it?” However, the point is that they don’t know that about “46.3 million people in the United States (which makes it 15.4% of the US population) did not have health insurance since 2008 (Should All Americans Have the Right (Be Entitled) to Health Care?).” We as a nation should come together and let the government, the senate, the president and EVERYONE, know that with universal healthcare people well be able to get cure and won’t have to worry about paying so much for hospitals or doctor bills . Not only that, but with all the people that are sick or seriously injury, it can be prevent with inexpensive medical visit in which insurance will cover half the bill. It would be a relief if the president passes the universal health care law and allow people to get diagnosed on time and get treatments. On the other hands some solution that can help with universal health care are make insurance portable, streamline costs and improve access to preventive care. Making insurance portable is really important because “insurance plans should follow a person from job to job, job to self-employment, job to retirement, job to raising a family, or whatever other employment change life may bring (Bernardin).” No matter want happens someone should always have insurance in order for it to cover their health. Someone should not have to adjust to another insurance company when they change employment or lose coverage. Countries such as Canada and others have a universal health care system in place in which people have a longer lifespan. Canadians has a higher present of lifespan than Americans. “Switzerland, Canada and Taiwan all have successful government-run insurance or health care for all lawful residents. While none of those places are as populated as the United States, they serve as effective models for a universal health care system and how it can work for an entire nation (Israel).” Reasons such as streamlines cost, preventive care and being able to move insurance anywhere they go or do, are big reasons in which universal healthcare could actually work in the United States.
